What would be the best places to travel in USA?

'm from New Zealand and would like to travel USA. What places would be best to go to other than the obvious?

It depends what your interests are. Big cities.........New York, San Francisco, Dallas, Atlanta, Miami. If you want to see some beautiful places then I recommend the Pacific North West. Nice beaches then go to California/Florida. It depends......
UTAH!!! We have it all!: -World class skiing/snowboarding (in winter of course) -5 National Parks (just google Arches, Bryce, ets. BREATHTAKING!) -Unique, albeit somewhat odd, religious culture (Mormon) -Native American history -Park City (awesome resorts, Sundance fame, hiking, biking you name it) -2002 Winter Olympics (you can go bobsledding or speedskating on actual olympic venues, very cool) -Outdoor/adventure lovers paradise (hot air ballooning, skydiving, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, climbing, camping, etc) Basically, it's awesome and you will not be bored, and if you are, Vegas is just a 7 hour drive away!
That depends soo much on what you want to see...there's so much culture here that a "best" place cannot be defined. Each has their own high and low points, and cannot be compared as they are too different.
Florida it has many tourist destinations and it's nice and warm
